ABOUT US

The Institute library is committed to the support of the overall vision, mission and programs of NILDS. The library has the responsibilities to select, acquire, organize, store, preserve and provide access to information resources of various types and forms, such as books, periodical, archival materials, e-resources. The library maintain information resources on many subject areas: political science, law, economics, public administration, social issues, history and other related areas.

The library has four major sections: Technical, Reader Services, ICT and Archives. The archival collections cover the following areas: treatise, legislative council debate, parliamentary debates, constitutional amendments, reports, acts, debates, etc.

The library provides excellent internet connectivity which enhances access to the Institute’s rich resources such as, the library’s online public access catalog (OPAC), databases and the legislative databank, which contains links to the original texts of national, regional and international laws, ordinances, decrees and decision. The library looks forward to serving you and welcomes your comments and suggestions on how to meet your information needs.

Our Opening hours are:

Monday – Friday: 8.00 am – 6.00 pm;

Saturday: 10.00 am – 4pm,

We are closed on Sunday
